1. Controlling the background music host over RS485

The controller sends a command to the music host, and the music host returns an acknowledgement to the controller. For example:

  • The controller sends the switch-to-online-music-mode command: FA 00 7A 00 74 FE
  • The music host returns the status: FA 00 7A 00 74 FE

1.1. Basic parameters

  • Default baud rate: 9600bps
  • Parity bit: none
  • Data bits: 8bits
  • Stop bits: 1bits

1.2. Command format definition

  Command: DATA1/DATA2/DATA3/DATA4/DATA5/DATA6

Byte Description
DATA1 Start byte (0xFA)
DATA2 ID number (0x00) (unique identifier of the device, i.e. the room number; 0 means broadcast)
DATA3 Function code, see the function code definition table
DATA4 Group ID (0x00) (the group the device belongs to; no change needed)
DATA5 Check code (Check)=(start byte + room number + function code)&0xff
DATA6 Protocol packet end byte (0xFE)
